The Armenian Diaspora in the Middle East is mostly concentrated in Lebanon, Cyprus, Syria, Jordan, and Iran.
- Antelias, (near Beirut) Lebanon, has been the headquarters of the Holy See of Cilicia (one of the two sees of the Armenian Orthodox Church) since 1930.
- The Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem (Orthodox Armenians), in the southwest corner of the Old City, is a complex of historical sites, residences, a convent and a seminary, all adjoining St James' Cathedral (dedicated to the two apostles, James the Major and James the Minor). The population is currently less than a thousand, consisting of people who have either been there for centuries or who arrived after the 1915-16 genocide.

- Novarank Monastery in Amaghou, dedicated to the Mother of God
- Seventh-century fortified monastery of Khor Vira is very close to the border with Turkey and Mount Ararat where Noah's Ark is believed to have landed. It is the national symbol of Armenia.
