"Fatima reminds us that Heaven cannot wait! Let us therefore ask the Virgin Mary with filial confidence to teach us to give Heaven to the earth. "[1]
"Whoever thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima is finished is wrong. Here we have a re-actualization of God’s purpose, God who has been telling mankind since the beginning: "Where is your brother Abel? ... The voice of your brother's blood cries from the earth to me!" (Gn 4: 9). Man was able to trigger a cycle of death and terror, but cannot manage to put a stop to it.
In Holy Scripture, God appears to frequently seek out the righteous to save the city of men, and so it is here in Fatima when Our Lady asks:
"Will you offer yourself to God to take upon you all the sufferings he will send to you, in reparation for the sins by which he is offended, and in intercession for the conversion of sinners?" (Memoirs of Sister Lucia, I, p. 162).
To the human family ready to sacrifice its holiest ties on the altar of the petty egotism of nation, race, ideology, group, and individual, our Blessed Mother came from Heaven to put in the hearts of those who rely on her, the love of God which burns in hers.[2]
